So to try and match what the camcorder is filming in, I make a custom project setting of:īear in mind I ONLY changed the frame rate from 24.000 to 50.000. The project setting options are 1080p24 or 1080i50.
Here are the facts and figures of what I'm using.Ĭamcorder - Panasonic HC-w850, always filming in its highest quality mp4 format which is 1080 50m (I presume that's 50 frames per second?) So that tells me its the editing/exporting where something is going wrong. All of this is not present in the raw video. I noticed that black colours, seem to have a weird pixelated blur/effect. The exported video looks a little blurred and grainy. Enough so that having a decent camcorder and laptop seems like a waste. So I made a quick test video on the new laptop, and the quality of the exported video is considerably worse than the raw file.
Now, on my old laptop, after editing and exporting, the quality of the exported/rendered video compared to the raw video was pretty much unnoticeable. I then installed my Serif Movieplus 圆 video editing program onto it. I recently picked up a new laptop, much more powerful than its predecessor.
